For the second consecutive year, New Jersey law firm Petro Cohen, P.C. is accepting applications for a $5,000 scholarship the firm offers to students enrolled at Rutgers Law School in Camden or Newark for the Fall 2023 semester, senior partner Frank Petro announced today. The applications are now being accepted from New Jersey residents via the firm’s website, www.PetroCohen.com/scholarship. The inaugural scholarship was awarded to Gladys Rosario, an exceptional third-year student at Rutgers Law School in Camden.
“Our partners and staff were so impressed by the essays and qualifications of the applicants for our first scholarship program that we were inspired to offer it again in 2023,” said Frank Petro, one of the firm’s founding partners. “In fact, we decided to broaden our commitment to higher education by offering the scholarship to include Rutgers Law School students in Newark, as well as Camden. Susan and I are grateful for the opportunities we have been afforded thanks to the education we received at Rutgers Law School,” he added, referring to his wife, Susan Petro, the firm’s managing partner and a fellow Rutgers Law School alumni. “We are excited to help make that same dream a reality for another New Jersey student.”
The Petro Cohen Law Scholarship is offered in accord with one of the firm’s core values, which is giving back to the community. The partners of Petro Cohen, P.C. value higher education for all New Jersey students and hope that providing financial assistance through this scholarship will help more students achieve their goals for higher education at Rutgers Law School.
