Attorney Samuel Scimeca

Mr. Scimeca is an associate at the law firm Petro Cohen, P.C., focusing on workers’ compensation litigation.

In 2013, Mr. Scimeca graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2018 from Widener University Delaware School of Law and was admitted to the New Jersey bar in November 2018.

During his years in law school, Mr. Scimeca served a legal intern for a Pennsylvania and New Jersey licensed business law firm focused on providing comprehensive legal services to both small and large clientele, as well as a Compliance Volunteer for Temple University Athletics.  While attending law school at night, Mr. Scimeca worked a number of jobs in the restaurant and valet industries.   A descendant of generations of union construction workers, Mr. Scimeca understands the toll a work injury can take on both the worker and their family.

Before joining Petro Cohen, P.C., Mr. Scimeca worked for a Cherry Hill law firm focused on the area of workers’ compensation defense, where he performed all tasks necessary to bring claims from opening to closing, including research as well as drafting all pleadings and legal memoranda.  Mr. Scimeca appeared before many judges in the state of New Jersey.

A former member of the St. Augustine Preparatory School and Temple University rowing teams, Mr. Scimeca can still be found leading crews as a coxswain on the local waterways.  Most recently Mr. Scimeca was a member of Bachelor’s Barge Club on  historic Boathouse Row in Philadelphia, PA.   Mr. Scimeca is an avid reader who enjoys United States presidential history.  When not on the water or buried inside a book, Mr. Scimeca enjoys spending time with family as well as going to sporting events and concerts.
