Attorney Kelly Bachich Sheehan

Associate

Kelly is an associate attorney with Petro Cohen, P.C., concentrating her practice on workers’ compensation litigation.

Kelly earned her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2024, where she served as Vice President of the Moot Court Honors Society and orchestrated the Distinguished Jurist Moot Court Competition. She received the GreenWatch Institute Award in Memory of Charles J. Zencey, a Certificate of Achievement in Environmental Law, and was published in the PACE Environmental Law Review Blog. She earned her B.A. in English/Creative Writing from Widener University in 2019, graduating with honors and serving as Editor in Chief of Widener Ink.

Before joining Petro Cohen, Kelly served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. J. Christopher Gibson, P.J.Ch., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic and Cape May County, working in both the Criminal Division and the Chancery Division — one of the Superior Court’s most diverse and procedurally complex dockets. This experience deepened her understanding of complex, high-stakes matters, reinforcing her commitment to helping clients navigate challenging legal issues. Prior to attending law school, she worked for a third-party administrator of healthcare benefits for union workers, overseeing the appeals department and gaining valuable insight into the challenges injured and disabled workers face when securing the benefits they deserve.

She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and is a member of the Delaware Valley Environmental American Inn of Court, Atlantic and Cape May County Bar Associations, and the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.

A lifelong South Jersey resident, Kelly was born and raised in Ocean City, where the ocean and nearby Pinelands fostered a deep appreciation for nature, community, and simple coastal living. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors — whether in her garden, walking along the beach, or exploring local trails. Kelly married her college sweetheart, and together they share a love of the outdoors, animals, and the close-knit community they call home.
