The annual Restaurant Gala fundraising event is receiving a fresh and COVID-friendly makeover for 2021. This year’s event, Atlantic Cape’s Gala Goes al Fresco!, is taking place on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. on the outdoor grounds adjacent to the Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City (rain date: Thursday, June 24). Attendees will sample a wide variety of signature dishes, desserts, and beverages from the area’s most popular establishments and enjoy live entertainment from the Dirty Dozen Dance Band.
Now in its 38th year, the Atlantic Cape Restaurant Gala has raised well over $3.5 million for scholarships for students attending the Academy of Culinary Arts (ACA) through the generous support of community partners and corporate sponsors. Susan Petro, who manages the law firm and heads the Personal Injury Department, said, “It is our pleasure to support this important community event which has helped create opportunities for so many students over the past 38 years. We applaud Atlantic Cape Community College for their ongoing commitment to providing these scholarships as well as for their creativity in putting together a COVID-appropriate event during these difficult times.”
Petro Cohen, P.C. will serve as this year’s “Icing on the Cake Giveaway Sponsor.” In addition to sponsoring the giveaway, a $1,000 scholarship will be granted on behalf of the firm.
