In conjunction with Kids’ Chance of New Jersey (KCNJ), Petro Cohen, P.C.recently awarded their fourth consecutive “Doctorate Degree” scholarship to a student with financial hardship. Frank and Susan Petro presented the 2017-18 scholarship recipient, Scott Kwiatek of South Amboy, NJ, with a check for $10,000 at the KCNJ Gala on July 13, 2017.
Scott Kwiatek was just two months old when his father was tragically killed during a freak accident at work. It was a life changing event, which left Scott’s mom struggling with finances. “Without the help of the generous scholarship that Petro Cohen and Kids’ Chance provided to me, I would not have been able to afford a college degree at my dream school, NJIT,” Kwiatek said.
