Michael Veneziani recently secured a total settlement in the amount of $300,000 for his client who was badly injured in a motor vehicle accident in late 2021. Mike’s client actually struck the other vehicle involved in the accident, however, Mike pressed the argument that the other driver was at fault for turning into the path of his client. As a result of the crash, Mike’s client ultimately required surgery in the form of a cervical fusion. The vehicle which caused the crash had minimal insurance coverage in the amount of $15,000 which it eventually offered. However, Mike’s client also had underinsured motorist coverage under her own policy for an additional $285,000 in coverage. While attempts at settlement with the insurance company were made pre-litigation, ultimately a Complaint was filed with the Court for the underinsured benefits. Shortly after suit was filed, the insurance company agreed to tender the remaining $285,000 of coverage for a total settlement recovery of $300,000.
